Anaesthetic

If you require surgery, we would aim to make the process as easy as possible to go through and to recover from. With this in mind, most upper limb procedures can be performed with a block anaesthetic.

A block anaesthetic involves a local anaesthetic injection to the nerves to the upper limb in the neck. Sedation can jelp smooth the procedure allowing anything from sleep to wide-awake surgery. This can be tailored to your requirements (depending on some medical conditions). The anaesthetist will be on hand to discuss this with you before surgery.

Please ask if you want more information.
